Turkey's accommodation tax was temporarily cut to 1%
A Presidential Decision reduced the 2% accommodation tax to 1% from 1 May through 31 December 2026, after which it returns to 2%. We updated the guide to the current 1%.
Why it matters: A Turkish hotel bill carries half the usual tax through the end of 2026, a small saving that arrives without you doing anything.
