Vienna's accommodation tax rose to 5%

The Vienna Ortstaxe rose to 5% of the net room price on 1 July 2026, and a further step to 8% is already set for 1 July 2027.

Why it matters: A Vienna hotel stay now carries a mid-single-digit tax on top of the room, and it is scheduled to rise again next summer.
