Thailand raised its proposed arrival fee to 450 baht, and it is still not being collected
The proposed fee for air arrivals was raised from 300 to 450 baht (about 14 dollars), the land and sea portion was shelved, and the start has slipped to late 2026 or early 2027. We re-verified on 17 August 2026 that no fee is being collected today.
Why it matters: If you fly to Thailand this year there is nothing to pay on arrival, whatever an older article says. The free TDAC arrival card is still required.
